Liverpool’s Season Just Got Worse
The draw for the UEFA Champions League Playoff was conducted today. In a draw full of compelling match-ups, TIP will be anxiously awaiting:
- Arsenal v. AC Milan
- Manchester United v. Lyon
- Liverpool v. Inter Milan
- AS Roma v. Real Madrid
The good folks at SoccerLens were good enough to liveblog it.

I can’t remember if it was last season or this season, but Carlo Ancelotti said at one point that Arsenal’s team was too young to win the Champions League. Maybe this is Wenger’s chance to prove him wrong.
Liverpool have a really tough draw, Inter has been looking good as of late. Rafa has his work cut out for him.

Mind you, they said that about Barcelona last year and look what happened to them

Lots can change between now and when the teams play in February. Liverpool tends to step up for these big European matches. I can see Arsenal slipping a bit in both the Premier League and in the Champions League. I think Man U will continue to make a strong showing and take the Premier League #1 spot soon.
